Kevin Mende - Master Instructor

Through the years, and after playing other sports, I have found there is none better than ATA Taekwondo. It promotes all of the physical and mental aspects that are essential to a child’s development through the years toward adulthood. Because Taekwondo teaches positive character traits, it compliments so many parts of their lives on a daily basis, such as school, home life and other social activities.

As parents we want to teach our children how to do the right thing when faced with everyday decisions, whether it’s school related, dealing with peer pressure, or protecting themselves against bullies and strangers. We want them to have the self-discipline to strive for their dreams and reach their goals. We want to teach them to meet life’s challenges with the confidence necessary for success, but always treating others with courtesy and respect, along the way.

Taekwondo teaches these same ideas, everyday in class. The atmosphere is fun, yet structured in a way to consistently promote positive character building and to reinforce what you, as parents, are trying to teach at home.

It doesn’t take long, usually less than one year, for parents and students alike, to experience the impact of Martial Arts training, in their every day lives. For those who truly commit to becoming Black Belt, the results are even greater. Students, who achieve black belt, will prove to themselves, and others, they can make a commitment and show great endurance.

I welcome you to come in and visit our school to learn more about Martial Arts and the benefits of our program. Come see for yourself, the enjoyment and reward of ATA Taekwondo.
