Our children's classes are designed be to exciting and challenging while teaching self-defense, fitness, and life skills that will make them successful wherever they go.
Self-Defense:
The Kidz N Power program gives our students the knowledge and confidence to protect themselves in a variety of dangerous situations. Students learn everything from what to do when approached by someone they don't know - to - distraction techniques to use when someone get to close for comfort!
The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP), the world's foremost bullying prevention program, has recently entered into a partnership with the ATA. Through extensive research, the OBPP has overturned old paradigms about bullying and created a program aimed at shutting down the entire bullying environment across the country.
Fitness through ATAFit:
The ATAFit program is incorporated into all of our classes. The goal is to achieve muscle strength and endurance and improve the cardiovascular endurance through many repetitions during training. Everyone should leave each class "sore, sweating, and smiling"!
Life Skills Training:
Our life skills training program is an integral part of training. It's not enough for our students to be good punchers and kickers...but they should also be respectful, disciplined, and confident. We teach our students what each life skill means and how it applies to their daily lives. Among many life skills, we focus on:
